Anecdote

Why design?

I was surrounded by art growing up: oil paintings, traditional pencil art, and more. With each painting, the residual paint crafted a second piece of art: color palettes. The colors build the foundation for new pieces, representing the flexibility and consistency parallel in design systems.

After taking the course Digital Product Design, I discovered Figma: a place where creative mediums meet at crossroads. It is where innovative art reaches communities beyond a canvas. My artistic ideas shape how technology is crafted to address pain points from users, emphasizing the importance of empathy. From these experiences, I redefine design as art driven by intention. I continue to explore how my artistic instincts drive work for community, expanding my color palette.

Intention

Ensuring design decisions address pain points to create solutions.

Connection

Deep understanding and empathy of the user experience.

Craft

The spacing, typography, color, and font that make up the experience.

When I'm not designing, you can find me...

Cooking and eating...

As a picky eater, it is important for me to enjoy what I eat. Whether it'd be lunch with friends or a quick post-gym meal, good food is worth the effort. But baking is a non-negotiable since there is always room for dessert.

Binge watching a new show...

I like a good show or movie in company with food. My favorite genres are thriller, drama, and fantasy. Lately, I've watched The Black Swan, Everything Everywhere All at Once, and Breaking Bad.

Whether the movie or show tells a story of psychological fracturing, the struggle for power, questions with identity, the stories worth revisiting are the ones that make us uncomfortable.

Listening to music...

Songs tell stories in unique ways: beats, melodies, and lyrics. My favorite genres are rap, k-pop, r&b, hip-hop, house, Afrobeats, and indie. Always open to listening to new artists! The song that's been on repeat lately:
